This workshop is specifically tailored for students entering their Bar & Bat Mitzvah year.
We run a 1 hour workshop introducing students to the vital lifesaving work of Magen David Adom.
We talk about the work MDA does in Melbourne, Israel and around the world. We share videos illustrating the amazing work carried out by MDA and its volunteers.
A highlight is the fun and engaging quiz which students work together and compete for prizes. We cover volunteering opportunities and students are presented with a beautiful certificate. Students gain a great understanding of Magen David Adom as well as learning the importance of Tzedakah, Pikuach Nefesh & Tikkun Olam.
Central Shule

Learning, giving and making a difference.
The Bnei Mitzvah girls at Central Shule recently took part in a meaningful Magen David Adom (MDA) workshop, where they discovered the many ways, MDA saves lives across Israel and how they too can make a positive impact.
A special thank you to Rebbetzin Rivki for sharing her firsthand experience visiting the MDA Blood Bank, donating blood and witnessing MDA’s lifesaving work in action. The girls also learned about the incredible role of the MDA Milk Bank before putting their knowledge to the test in a fun and interactive quiz.

The Bnei Mitzvah girls at Hamerkaz Shelanu Lamdeni School recently took part in a meaningful Magen David Adom workshop, where they discovered the incredible lifesaving work MDA carries out every day in Israel and how they, too, can make a meaningful difference.
Through engaging discussions and interactive activities, the girls explored the Jewish values of Pikuach Nefesh, Tzedakah and Tikkun Olam, before putting their knowledge to the test in a fun and friendly MDA quiz. Their enthusiasm, teamwork and eagerness to learn made the session a joy to be part of.

The Bat Mitzvah girls and their mothers, along with a special grandmother, recently took part in a meaningful MDA session through the Mizrachi Bat Mitzvah program.
With a central focus on Pikuach Nefesh – the importance of saving a life , the girls learned about the lifesaving work of Magen David Adom in Israel and how they too can play a role in making a difference.
Several mothers also shared their firsthand experiences with Magen David Adom, highlighting the incredible and vital work that the organisation does.
The girls enthusiasm and friendly competitiveness shone through as they participated in an MDA quiz with all of the girls demonstrating their impressive knowledge about MDA.

The boys learnt about Magen David Adom through a fun and interactive workshop.
They gained insight into the lifesaving work MDA carries out in Israel as well the importance of giving back & helping others.
After watching a video, they competitively participated in a quiz, where they demonstrated an impressive understanding of MDA and its mission.
The boys were extremely engaged throughout the session and asked thoughtful and insightful questions.

They learnt about the lifesaving work that Magen David Adom does in Israel and how they can help make a difference to saving lives. They learnt the importance of Tzedakah, Pikuach Nefesh and Tikkun Olam.
The boys and their fathers mastered the MDA quiz where they all enthusiastically competed against each other when testing their knowledge about MDA.
